The ESCAPIST UNIVERSAL is the most affordable and versatile custom-fit performance climbing skin that's designed to be as easy to set up as it is to use.
The ESCAPIST is a fully customizable climbing skin. The user sets the length and trims the edges according to their skis using the included G3 trim tool. For the first time in a custom setup skin, the ESCAPIST features G3's patented self-aligning stainless steel hands to create a strong connection with any ski tip shape. Paramount to the ESCAPIST design, this feature brings G3's premium user experience and performance to a value line of skins.
New for the 2022/2023 season, G3 has improved the ESCAPIST tails. Sizing holes have been added to improve user experience and now has similar functionality to the tried and true ALPINIST+ tail strap. This eliminates slippage thanks to the mechanical design while maintaining the ultra lightweight design and materials.
Removable rip strip reduces skin-to-skin adhesion, making it easier to pull apart skins. If your glue gets contaminated on an epic traverse, you can remove the strip for extra adhesion.

Online and In-Store Return/Exchange Policy:
- New and unused items in original packaging with tags still attached may be returned within 365 days to receive a full refund, exchange, or store credit. Exceptions apply: See the Garmin policy below.
- Used items may be exchanged for store credit within 30 days of purchase. Shipping fees apply for online orders. Exclusions to Garmin and rock climbing hard and soft goods. If you’re not sure please email us before purchase.
- For your safety, rock equipment including but not limited to rock climbing hardware, harnesses, slings, and ropes cannot be returned at any time. Helmets and shoes may be returned unworn, with tags and in original packaging.
- Please note we charge both sides shipping fees for returns or exchanges for online orders.
Garmin Return/Exchange Policy:
- Please note that Garmin Devices and Watches must be unopened and in their original packaging with tags attached.
- They may be returned within 90 days to receive a refund, exchange, or store credit
- Once taken out from the box or activated - devices/watches cannot be returned or exchanged.
- For any manufacturing defects with your Garmin Device, we can connect you with Garmin Customer Support to facilitate the warranty process and to help troubleshoot the issue.
